Maidstone Bars
Being one of the principal towns in Kent, Maidstone plays host to a vast and diverse number of bars, clubs and eateries, and thereby able to cater for the needs and tastes of all age groups. V Bar - Middle Row, High Street
This a lively and friendly bar in the heart of the town centre and open late on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The frontage is lit up with blue lights and so not difficult to find. There is seating as well as a dance floor and a live DJ playing the latest chart and commercial hits. There are female dancers performing on Monday and Tuesday evenings and Karaoke on Thursdays. There is a wide range of beers and lagers as well as wines, champagnes and regular spirits with food available throughout the week.
ME1 - 10-11 Market Buildings
Here is a lounge bar that boasts comfort as well as sophistication. With its modern decor, wide bar and commodious seating of sofas with tables, it is a dynamic and vibrant venue for the discerning reveller. The ME1 offers an exciting line-up of live music on a regular basis at weekends as well as chilled beers either on tap or by the bottle, quality red, white and rose wines, champagnes and spirits.
The Source Bar - 4-6 Rose Yard
Considered to be the finest venue in Maidstone the Source is open five nights a week not only specialising in great music but a vast array of great DJ’s and promotions too. The design of the bar enables excellent interaction between the crowd and DJ and along with a magnificent sound-system that would befit a large club, entices people from all over the south-east. The Lounge Bar, situated on the second floor, is Source’s newly refurbished cocktail bar and smoking balcony. It is open until late Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, however, guest DJ’s offer an alternative selection of music to the main room and in a more laid-back and relaxed mood. A fine selection of delicious cocktails, wines and beers are available. Private functions can also be accommodated at the Lounge Bar free of charge.
Mu Mu’s - 108 Week Street
Set in a Grade II listed building this funky lounge bar offers an eclectic mix of musical flavours from early jazz, disco, soul and Latin, and all artistically blended by resident DJ Adam French. Its decor of unconventional hand-made furniture and extraordinary hand painted art with a twist, offers the epitome of luxury of a top London bar that is set in the heartlands of Kent. It is open Monday to Wednesday until 11pm and Thursday, Friday and Saturday until 2am.
Banks Wine Bar - 76 Bank Street
Not only a popular and stylish cocktail bar at night but Banks is also a traditional wine bar during the day, offering a diverse range of beers, wines and spirits as well as an extensive lunch-time menu including a range of coffees and speciality teas. The rear cocktail bar is open until 12 midnight Friday and Saturday evenings when house music is played throughout the bar and patio area by the resident DJ. The front bar is used primarily for functions and peak periods.
